Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of children's memory as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous papers and awards to her credit she is also the winner of a variety of international and national distinctions. She has offered advice on policy and research to many agencies and departments across the world. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
